Former chair and all-round tree champion Xanthe Mosley has been celebrated for her outstanding contributions to street planting initiatives in Lewisham. Recognised with high commendation at the prestigious Acorn Awards during the annual Forestry Commission Tree Oscars, Xanthe's dedication and leadership have played a pivotal role in transforming Lewisham's landscape.

Thanks to Phoenix Housing association and government funding, the Bellingham community has welcomed 40 new street trees. Athelnay primary welcomed the addition of 18 new trees, and Elfrida primary an orchard of 10 new fruit trees, contributing to a healthier and more vibrant environment for students and residents.
